Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Serda immigrated to the United States in 2003. First, he lived in Miami, FL. He attended North Miami Senior High '04, Miami Dade College '08.
In 2010, he relocated to New York City where he worked at Verizon Wireless until 2015. During his tenure at Verizon, he met some truly amazing people, including the Chairman of Ark Restaurants, a former President/co-founder of Venmo, executives of SpotifyUSA, and many professors of Baruch, Columbia, NYU, Princeton and Harvard. Inspired by their life stories, and motivated by their bits of advice, Serda became extremely curious about entrepreneurship, finance, business, and the law which lead him to go back to school. He was admitted to Baruch College in the Spring of 2015, where he currently majors in Accounting '18. He has not made up his mind as to what the next step will be after graduation beyond CPA exam.
As an avid reader and consumer of financial and tech news, Serda subscribes to the Investor’s Business Daily, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg, BusinessWeek, Wired, The Economist, Market Watch, Seeking Alpha, Yahoo Finance just to name a few. He believes the memos of Howard Marks and Warren Buffett’s Letters to Shareholders ought to be held as gospels in the investing world.
