Serda was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He immigrated to the United States in July 2003. First, he lived in Miami, FL were he graduated High School in 2004. After taking a semester break, he started college at Miami-Dade in spring of 2005. He earned an AA and AAS degree from Miami-Dade college in June 2008.
In 2010, Serda relocated to New York City where he worked as a sales person in the telecom industry for the next 4-5 years. In 2015, Serda was admitted at Baruch College. He should earn his BBA by Summer of 2019 in Computer Information Systems(IT management).
An avid reader, Serda spends his train rides delving deep into recommended books on Finance, Economics and Computer Science. Some of his favorite reads are the series A Song of Ice and Fire by G.R.R. Martin, 1984 by G. Orwell, J. Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, The Art of Computer Programming(Volume 1) by Donald Knuth, The Alchemy of Finance by G. Soros, Economics on Trial: Lies, Myths, and Realities by M. Skousen, Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs by H. Abelson and G.J. Sussman.
He believes the memos of Howard Marks and Warren Buffett’s Letters to Shareholders ought to be held as gospels in the finance world.
